SilverWing at Sandpoint - 2006 - ongoing
Client: SilverWing at Sandpoint, L.L.C.
Location: Sandpoint, Idaho
About SilverWing at Sandpoint:
SilverWing at Sandpoint is a unique “Fly-In Residential Community” located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille in majestic Sandpoint, Idaho. The development sits on the very edge of town, only a 10 minute drive from the Inland Northwest’s largest ski resort, Schweitzer Mountain.
SilverWing at Sandpoint will be comprised of residential airplane hangars offering freestanding units with aircraft storage area on the ground floor and spacious living quarters on the second level. Unlike most airport properties, SilverWing at Sandpoint offers its residents direct ownership of their own land parcel immediately adjacent to a county-run airport.
The hangar-homes, 44 in all, will be incorporated into a heavily landscaped residential environment, situated to capture the stunning views of the surrounding Selkirk Mountains. Each unit has been designed to blend seamlessly with the rustic yet serene natural environment that sets the project apart from other airparks across the country.
